Speaking Engagements
Leslie Thornton joined Dickstein Shapiro in 2004, with more than twenty years of legal and executive branch experience. Ms. Thornton focuses her practice on counseling and defending large corporations in sensitive and complex internal corporate investigations, federal agency and Congressional investigations, regulatory matters before federal government agencies, and state attorneys general investigations. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Thornton spent more than four years as a partner in another Washington-based law firm, eight years as a senior executive in the Clinton Administration, and nine years defending Members of Congress and Executive branch cabinet officials in congressional and criminal investigations. She is experienced in managing complex criminal and associated civil investigations, including high-profile investigations. Ms. Thornton’s extensive experience with investigations and the federal government also provides significant support to the Government Law & Strategy Group, including the Congressional and Corporate Investigations Practice, as well as to the Antitrust & Dispute Resolution Group’s State Attorneys General Practice.
