Gary Schoenbrun joined Dickstein Shapiro as a partner in 2001. Mr. Schoenbrun concentrates his practice in the areas of taxation and executive compensation. He regularly advises clients as tax counsel in connection with both taxable and tax-free mergers and acquisitions involving both private and public companies. Furthermore, Mr. Schoenbrun advises clients on all aspects of partnership taxation. He has particular skill in structuring partnership and limited liability company tax allocations and has published articles in the
Journal of
Partnership Taxation
on this subject. Mr. Schoenbrun also represents numerous investment funds on various matters including taxation, compensation and regulatory issues. Moreover, he represents chief executives and other high-level officers at both public and private companies, investment bankers, investment fund operators, and their employers in structuring and negotiating their compensation arrangements.
