(New York, NY)—Dickstein Shapiro LLP is pleased to announce the expansion of its national antitrust and financial services practices with the addition, in its New York office, of partners Jay N. Fastow and Denise Kosineski Plunkett. Mr. Fastow and Ms. Plunkett will focus their practices on major antitrust and financial services litigation and related counseling matters, including complex class action litigation. Mr. Fastow will serve as co-head of the firm’s national Antitrust & Financial Services Practice and as a member of its Strategic Advisory Group.
“This is a highly regarded and successful litigation team that brings great depth and breadth of antitrust and financial services experience to the firm,” said Michael Nannes, Chairman of Dickstein Shapiro.
“I have known and worked with Jay for many years, and he is a phenomenal attorney,” added R. Bruce Holcomb, co-head of the Antitrust & Financial Services Practice. “I am thrilled that he and Denise have joined the Firm.”
Prior to joining Dickstein Shapiro, Mr. Fastow was a partner at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP. He received his J.D. from Yale University and his B.A. from Brandeis University. He regularly speaks and writes on issues related to antitrust and financial services litigation.
“I look forward to working to help Dickstein Shapiro expand its already extremely successful antitrust practice,” said Mr. Fastow, “and to helping to develop its financial services litigation and counseling practices, including its work in consumer class action litigation.”
Denise Kosineski Plunkett also joins the firm from Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP. Her practice encompasses a wide range of payment card and other financial services litigation. She received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Maryland.
