Dickstein Shapiro Morin & Oshinsky LLP Announces the Addition of Seven New Attorneys



(New York, NY) Dickstein Shapiro Morin & Oshinsky LLP added six new associates and one Counsel to the firm’s New York office.

Alexander Widell, 39, joins the Litigation Group as Counsel, focusing on complex business and commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Widell was a partner with the New York law firm of Baer Marks & Upham LLP. From 1990 to 1995, Mr. Widell was an associate with the law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where he practiced business and securities litigation. Mr. Widell also was an adjunct professor at New York Law School, where he taught Legal Writing. Mr. Widell received his J.D. from New York Law School and his B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany.

C. Elaine Arabatzis, 40, joins the Litigation Group as an associate, focusing on complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Arabatzis was an associate with the New York law firm of Baer Marks & Upham LLP. Ms. Arabatzis has experience in insurance litigation, real estate litigation, and criminal prosecution. Ms. Arabatzis received her J.D. from New York University School of Law and her B.S. from Lehman College of C.U.N.Y.

Victoria Kummer, 43, joins the Litigation Group as an associate, focusing on commercial litigation and arbitration. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kummer was an associate with the New York law firm of Baer Marks & Upham LLP. From 1992 to 1997, Ms. Kummer was an associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. Ms. Kummer received her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and her B.A. from Cornell University.

Ryan Luft, 27, joins the Litigation Group as a first year associate, focusing on civil litigation matters. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Luft worked as a summer associate at Roberts, Sheridan & Kotel, which is now the New York practice of Dickstein Shapiro’s Corporate & Finance Group. Mr. Luft received his J.D. from Boston University Law School and his B.A., cum laude, from Binghamton University, State University of New York.

Sarah Mudho, 24, joins the Corporate & Finance Group as a first year associate, focusing on corporate law. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Mudho worked as a summer associate at Roberts Sheridan & Kotel. Ms. Mudho received her J.D. from Columbia University Law School and her B.A. from Connecticut College.

Jeremy McGuire King, 25, joins the Litigation Group as a first year associate, focusing on civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. King was a summer associate at Roberts, Sheridan & Kotel. Mr. King received his J.D. from Fordham School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Richmond.

Catherine Reyes, 25, joins the Corporate & Finance Group as a first year associate, focusing on corporate law. Ms. Reyes received a joint degree in common law (LL.B.) and civil law (B.C.L.) from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and her B.A. from the University of Calgary.
