Lori E. Kalani Joins Dickstein Shapiro; State Attorneys General Practice Strengthens Strategic Reach
(Washington, DC)—Dickstein Shapiro LLP is pleased to announce the continued strategic expansion of its preeminent State Attorneys General Practice with the arrival of Lori Kalani as partner. Ms. Kalani focuses her practice on helping clients navigate issues before State Attorneys General throughout the United States. She represents companies in a wide range of industries, including finance, social media, online travel, satellite television, telecommunications, retail, auto parts, and high technology, in State Attorney General investigations and public policy issues.

From 2002 through 2009, Ms. Kalani was the Director of Government Affairs and Senior Corporate Counsel for DISH Network, a leading national pay television provider and Fortune 200 company. She also has served as the chair of the Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association, the national trade association of the satellite industry, and she worked at the Federal Communications Commission before joining DISH Network. Prior to joining Dickstein Shapiro, Ms. Kalani headed the State Attorneys General Practice at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. She holds a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law, and an M.B.A. and B.S. from University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
