Industry Leaders to Discuss Radio’s Future at 2009 NAB Radio Show®

(Washington, DC) Industry leaders – including Cumulus Media CEO Lew Dickey, Entercom CEO David Field, CBS Radio CEO Dan Mason, NRG CEO Mary Quass, and Cherry Creek CEO Joe Schwartz – will participate in Dickstein Shapiro LLP’s annual financing conference at the National Association of Broadcasters Radio Show® on the morning of Wednesday, September 23, 2009, in Philadelphia, PA. The program – “Surviving the Meltdown” – will also feature opening remarks from Drew Marcus, formerly Vice Chairman of Global Banking at Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and now the Managing Partner of Sugarloaf Rock Capital.

As in past years, the Dickstein Shapiro conference will be the first program of the NAB Radio Show. The conference will focus on the challenges and opportunities created by the unprecedented economic downturn.

In addition to the panel of CEOs (who will discuss operating and acquisition strategies), a second panel will address the challenge of obtaining debt and equity financing in an environment fraught with loan defaults and financial restructurings. That panel will include the following industry representatives:

  • Michael Bogdan, Atalaya Capital
  • Jeff Ferry, Goldman Sachs
  • Gregg Johnson, BIA Capital
  • Jim Kuster, RBS Greenwich
  • Ray Shu, GE Capital

The conference will be held from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Philadelphia Convention Center.

Lew Paper, a Dickstein Shapiro partner and the conference moderator, said, “The firm’s financing conference will again provide a unique forum for industry leaders to share information and opinion on how the recession has affected the dynamics and prospects of the radio industry.”
