Daniel J. Horwitz is a partner in Dickstein Shapiro’s Securities – Litigation, Regulatory, & Compliance – Practice. Mr. Horwitz concentrates his practice on internal corporate investigations, white-collar criminal and regulatory defense of corporations and their executives, and complex civil litigation with a focus on securities and regulatory matters in federal and state courts. He has led numerous internal investigations on behalf of Audit Committees, Special Board Committees, and Special Litigation Committees. He has represented large and small companies in a wide range of industries, such as financial services, telecommunications, accounting, publishing, telecommunications, transportation, and construction management. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Horwitz served as an Assistant District Attorney in the elite Frauds Bureau of Robert M. Morgenthau, Manhattan District Attorney. He is an accomplished trial lawyer, having tried many complex cases in both federal and state courts over the course of his career.
