John Gibbons is a Washington, DC-based partner and deputy leader of Dickstein Shapiro’s Insurance Coverage Practice. He is also the leader of the firm’s Anticompetitive Practices Insurance Coverage Initiative. Mr. Gibbons’ national practice focuses on representing corporate policyholders in coverage disputes, both in negotiations and as trial counsel. Mr. Gibbons maintains a particularly active trial practice, recently serving as trial counsel in a four-month trial for a
Fortune
100 pharmaceutical company, in two separate multi-week jury trials for a
Fortune
500 regulated utility, and in a three-judge panel arbitration for a large multi-national corporation. In addition to his corporate policyholder practice, Mr. Gibbons has represented clients in a multitude of civil disputes, ranging from antitrust, commercial lending, and lien disputes, to assertions of professional malpractice.
