Women's Leadership Initiative - Learn

Dickstein Shapiro offers our attorneys the opportunity to learn by partnering with associations and organizations that support and advance the interests of women. With the help of these partner organizations, we provide our clients and attorneys access to a variety of resources that train and educate the public on women’s leadership issues.

In addition to the resources our partner organizations make available, we also provide firm training that covers emerging topics and the essentials of rainmaking, leadership, business development, and work-life balance.

We are dedicated to educating our attorneys on these issues from the beginning of their careers and, as a result, developed an Associate Roundtable Program in 2009 for associates at all levels. This program provides associates more face time with partners, provides an informal networking environment, and offers a venue for sharing institutional knowledge and advice. The program is designed to help our associates fill the information gap and provide an opportunity for building connections that will facilitate their success in business and life.

Recent Associate Roundtable programming has included interactive discussions such as the following:
  • “Choosing the Right Career Path for You,” centered on the choices and paths of four panelists at various stages in their careers and how they made their decisions.
  • “If I Knew Then What I Know Now,” focused on the business and career lessons our panelists wish they had known earlier in their careers.
