David Elkind is a partner in Dickstein Shapiro’s Insurance Coverage Practice who represents policyholders in insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Elkind has successfully represented a wide variety of clients, including numerous Fortune 500 companies, seeking to obtain insurance coverage from their insurance companies. In 2011, Law 360 named him one of four national MVPs in environmental law. He has recovered more than $1 billion for his clients, despite handling the most complex of insurance coverage claims, primarily concerning environmental and products liability insurance coverage claims. Mr. Elkind heads the firm’s Environmental and Products Contaminants Insurance Initiatives. He has directed major litigation and settlement efforts in matters involving insurance coverage for environmental claims, asbestos claims, and other significant claims.
