Speaking Engagements
Barry Buchman joined Dickstein Shapiro LLP in 2006 and is counsel in the Insurance Coverage Practice. Mr. Buchman specializes in complex civil litigation and dispute resolution, focusing primarily on the representation of corporate policyholders in insurance coverage disputes. He litigates, counsels clients on, and resolves through settlement negotiations, a variety of complex civil matters, including disputes over insurance coverage for benzene, lead paint, asbestos, and silica claims, as well as disputes over coverage for “first party” losses, such as credit and residual value losses on leased and financed assets. He also regularly publishes and speaks on insurance coverage issues, including coverage for product recall losses and benzene-related litigation. In addition to his insurance coverage experience, Mr. Buchman also has handled complex tort litigation and civil rights matters. Before joining Dickstein Shapiro, he was a partner in the Washington, DC law firm of Gilbert Heintz & Randolph LLP.
